Risk Management
Risk management is an integral part of the experiential education process at Boojum. This involves implementing overt precautions to prevent accidents and having an analytical attitude toward every experience. Risk management is an active, ongoing process of self-assessment, group assessment, environmental awareness, technical skill and training, and careful, conscious decision-making. We take every reasonable precaution to ensure the emotional and physical wellbeing of participants in the activities we offer.
Boojum has conducted adventure-based and outdoor learning experiences for its participants since 1975 and is accredited by The Association for Experiential Education. In addition, our ropes course is annually inspected by Challenge Works Inc., a Professional Vendor Member (PVM) of the Association for Challenge Course Technology (ACCT), and we’re an approved vendor for LAUSD and other school districts.
We understand that any outdoor activity involves an element of risk, and we have implemented activity-specific policies and procedures designed to mitigate this inherent risk. These protocols are reviewed internally and externally. Continuous review of our operations ensures participant wellbeing and program quality.
Please contact our team if you have questions or would like additional information regarding our program policies and procedures.
