Day Camps
Time spent outdoors and with other people is a necessity for healthy minds and bodies, especially for today’s children and teens. With our new day camps, we are creating a space where campers can have a normal camp experience with a focus on social connection through physical distancing. Professional staff members will take small groups of up to 10 campers through a wide range of activities that can only really be experienced in a camp setting. Campers will get a chance to do a wide range of activities like arts and crafts, field sports like kickball and archery tag, science and engineering activities, and a Live Action Role Play (LARP) camp. In the LARP camp, campers will create their fictional character, create a foam weapon of choice, learn the rules of safe combat, and work as a team to clear dungeons and defeat magical bosses. If you are interested in any of these camps, please take a moment to fill out the short survey at the bottom of the page to begin the registration process.

Live-Action Role-Play (LARP) Camp
Grades: 6th-8th
Dates: TBD based on expressed interest
As opposed to traditional role-playing games (board games, video games), in Live-Action Role-Playing (LARP), participants physically portray their characters. Players pursue goals within a fictional setting represented by the real world while interacting with each other in character.
During this program, participants will have the opportunity to dive into a fictional realm where knights, shades, zombies, and magic come to life. They will create their fictional character, join a guild, and work as part of a team to clear dungeons, build water-war machinery, and even slay a dragon. Not only will they have fun in this fictional world, but they will learn about the Hero’s Journey, make lasting friendships, and use the engineering design process.
