Setting the Standard
The safety of program participants has been a priority throughout our history and we take every reasonable precaution to ensure the emotional and physical well-being of all participants in every single one of the activities we offer.
We have conducted adventure-based and outdoor learning experiences for schools, adult groups and other organizations since 1975 (we’re the oldest organization in California to do so) and since then more than 85,000 participants have safely and successfully experienced our programs.
Our excellent safety record has set the standard for safety and has allowed us to become one of only 14 programs in the United States that has AEE (The Association for Experiential Education) accreditation. Our ropes course is certified and ACCT (Association for Challenge Course Technology) compliant and we’re an approved vendor for LAUSD and other school districts.
In addition, safety policies and procedures have been developed for all activities, and we participate in internal and external reviews of its operations to ensure the Institute continues to excel in both program safety and quality.
We are always happy to discuss our safety policies, procedures and record with you.
