Position Opening: Logistics Coordinator
Description
The Logistics Coordinator works as an essential part of the logistics team in organizing and conducting the Boojum Institute's acclaimed outdoor education programs for youth and adults. The position is full-time, 40 hours per week. Responsibilities include equipment & food management, facility upkeep, and vehicle fleet maintenance. The position reports directly to the Logistics Manager.
Specific Responsibilities
- Equipment purchasing, repair, cleaning, inventory management
- Town errands including trash & recycling runs, food and supplies purchases
- Packing and de-rig of food & equipment for outdoor programs
- Basic facilities maintenance including simple repairs and upkeep
- Other responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications
High School diploma; 21 years of age. Excellent written and spoken communication skills. Outstanding interpersonal, customer service and organizational skills. Demonstrated accuracy with details. Ability to successfully work as team member, multi-task, and work independently. Physical fitness. Good driving record. Computer literacy.
Compensation
$8-10 per hour DOE plus benefits

The Boojum Institute for Experiential Education, founded in 1975, is a non-profit outdoor education organization. For 30 years the Institute has offered environmental education, personal development and team-building programs for youth and adults in a variety of outdoor settings.
The Institute is located in Anza, California. The Boojum Institute conducts residential, basecamp and wilderness courses in Joshua Tree National Park; Channel Islands; San Jacinto, San Bernardino, Santa Cruz and Sierra Nevada Mountains; Point Reyes, Yosemite, and the Colorado River. Program elements include backpacking, canoeing, sea kayaking, hiking, high ropes Challenge Courses and rock climbing.
