Teambuilding

We will design a program to bring your group together and help foster leadership and group development. Instructors use games, puzzles, and creative problem-solving activities to enhance group development, leadership, and personal growth. Our programs assist in individual and group development, with a particular focus on commitment, involvement, leadership, self-confidence, support, and ownership of actions – all of which are vital elements of an effective team.

Mobile Team Initiatives

Let us come to you! Outdoor Adventures by Boojum offers a mobile low-team challenge course that we can bring to your campus or facility. Our Mobile Team Initiative Course consists of over a dozen skill and problem-solving elements. This Mobile Course can facilitate small to large groups, both indoors or out.

Challenge Course Facility

Our challenge course is located at the Idyllwild Pines Camp in the beautiful San Jacinto Mountains in Idyllwild – close to all of Southern California – and consists of a comprehensive set of ground initiatives and both low and high “elements”. The low elements provide a level of challenge that is close to the ground and are generally protected by spotting provided by the group. High elements involve initiatives that are 30-45 feet off the ground on cables and ropes. Whether climbing high into the trees, belaying each other with ropes, shouting encouragement to their peers as they fly down a zip line, or helping each other across a high traverse initiative, all participants are part of our high ropes/challenge course experience.

Base Camp Programs

Our Base Camp courses can take place in a variety of locations across the Western United States. These programs utilize a “base camp” as a staging area for day trips, coming back to the same location to sleep each night. Clients often choose a location based on its proximity to certain activity areas. For example, a group wanting to participate in rock climbing may choose Joshua Tree National Park and a group wanting to focus on paddlesports may choose Lake Mead.

Multi-Sport Adventures

Clients become leaders as the course progresses through activities such as rock climbing, peak ascents, paddling, primitive living skills, and backcountry orienteering. Our Multi-Sport Adventures courses often focus on goals such as building self-esteem, self-reliance, communication, and various leadership skills.

BackCountry Expeditions

Our BackCountry Expedition courses can take place in a variety of locations across the Western United States. The content of these backpacking or river trips is often tailored to meet the individual and group goals of our clients. Content often includes backcountry navigation and travel, cooking, risk management, communication, leadership, and decision making. Participants often cycle through different leadership roles (i.e. leader of the day, kitchen manager, navigator, etc.) as the trip progresses.
