In January 2007, the Boojum Institute purchased a five-acre campus in the scenic Anza Valley overlooking the San Jacinto Mountains to serve as its new administrative headquarters and base of operations. Following a 2006 wildfire that burned Boojum's desert campus along with over 100 square miles of land, the Institute teamed with generous donors to select and purchase a new site from which to organize its accredited environmental and adventure education field courses. "We are thrilled to own a beautiful new headquarters here in southern California, said Executive Director Jeff Baierlein. "As we shift our administration to the new site, our leadership team will be focusing on improving the quality of programs we've offered for over 30 years." Baierlein expects to complete the move later in 2007.
